The Wooden Box

Consider this my second installment of ‘My Favorite Things!’

This my friends, is an item that’s dear to my heart. A labor of love from my sweet husband, who at the time was not yet my husband, but a boy wooing a girl who was already smitten. To my knowledge, he has never built something so intricate, so intense. I love the bold contrast between the Mahogany and Maple. I love the smooth rounded edges. I love that he designed it himself, and spent countless hours crafting it to perfection. I love that he loves me.

It would be one of the few things I’d grab if the house was burning down.

I find it to be magical. And a symbol of love.

The boy’s a keeper. End of story.
