Every spring, I have grand plans of having the most epic vegetable and flower gardens! And I usually lose motivation at some point, or life just gets in the way. But this year, I chose to really make it priority. And I’m so glad I did! There’s something so therapeutic about working in the garden and getting lots of dirt under my fingernails. Especially when the weather has been as glorious as it has been here in Iowa!

I had snagged these elephant ear bulbs earlier this spring. I love incorporating bug leafy green plants with all the flowers to add some contrast and variety.
Having my WORKPRO Garden Tool Set is so handy when I’m ready to tackle some planting projects like this! Just grab the bag, and everything I need is right there!
I’ve never grown Elephant Ears from bulbs outside, but I love how they look in other people’s landscapes, so I thought I would give it a try! I’ll let ya know how it goes!
I can’t wait for these to grow in! After digging a hole large enough for the bulb (which is surprisingly big!) with my WORKPRO trowel, I just covered up the hole with soil and gave it a generous watering! I will be watering these daily… unless it rains obviously. 😉
Just around the corner from this, I decided to plant some perennials to use up all this blank space.
I’m obsessed with this Coleus. Does anyone know what the purple flowering one is?
You might also notice that we added some fresh mulch. I always forget how much new mulch makes a huge difference!!
WORKPRO is also coming out with a pink version of this tool bag as a part of their #WORKPROinPINK campaign in partnership with NBCF, and the whole set will be available next month!
Isn’t this little corner just beautiful?! I can’t wait until that hydrangea tree blooms!
Once these plants fill in beautifully, and the elephant ears make their appearance, I’ll be sure to update you all!

I did a Google image search and it said “ Nierembergia”. It is very pretty. I began looking at old posts shown at the end of each post. Fun to reminisce! 😍❤️❤️

The purple flowering one looks like it might be Periwinkle
