Welcome to Reality Daydream

We are Beth and Nick… just a couple regular folks living the dream and fixing up our historic mansion as a family. We love documenting our progress and transformations here on the blog, and try hard to provide clear, step-by-step tutorials to empower and inspire others to tackle their own DIY projects! Here you’ll find everything from small crafty projects, to furniture builds, to full room transformations… with a side of humor.

As passionate as we are about home design, carpentry and DIY, nothing compares to the passion and love we have for our daughters (Paisley (5), Adelyn (5) and Cypress (2). Early in our marriage, we found ourselves in the trenches of infertility, and made a conscious decision to FIGHT for our family. This struggle brought us closer as a couple and shaped who we are with regards to character and work ethic. We KNOW we’re one of the lucky ones. Take THAT ovaries! (Fertility Story here)

Moving into our historic mansion is a pretty recent thing actually. Before that, we lived on an acreage for 9 years, and that’s where we started this lil blog. We shared literally hundreds of projects and tutorials as we made that home our own. Feel free to click around on the images below!
