I’m not gonna lie y’all, I’m in survival mode. My mind is so full of things (renovation, homeschooling, Christmastime, lack of kitchen, lack of laundry facilities, etc) that I’m just going through the motions at this point. Do you ever have SO MANY THINGS TO DO, that your brain can’t process and you end up doing nothing at all? I feel that way daily.
But squeezing in some fun and quick-gratification projects is like sweet nectar for my soul.

Awhile back, we shared our plans for this room and that includes a triple bunk (we got this one) and the girls have been LOVING it. Bed time is so much easier now that the twins aren’t sharing a full-size bed anymore. And Cypress loves being one of the big girls.
For reference, our ceilings are 8.5 feet, and the top bunk has just as much (if not more!) head room than the other two bunks!
Don’t get me wrong, there’s still tomfoolery. But that’s the beauty of having sisters, right?! Late night whispers, giggling, and shenanigans. I secretly love it.
Ever since discovering the Beddys zip-up beds and using them in the girls’ last room, I knew that we would JUST HAVE them for the triple bunk. Because everyone knows what a pain it is to make beds in a bunk bed. So we were overjoyed when they were willing to partner with us again in this new room!
I love them for all the practical reasons (just generally making my life exponentially easier), and the GIRLS love them because it’s like having a sleepover with sleeping bags every night of the week! The zippers have little tabs on the inside and outside, so the kiddos can zip themselves up from the inside too!
Now instead of saying ‘tucking in’ at night, we say ‘zipping up’! And their covers stay on all night… which is a HUGE bonus if you have a toddler that doesn’t keep her socks on, and doesn’t know how to keep covers on herself.
They have tons of styles and colors, but we went with these putty colored ones (called Oh So Boho) since there’s so many other brightly colored things in this room. It’s the perfect neutral! And the minky fabric on the inside is SO SOFT.
What’s that? You’re wondering about the headboards on each bunk? I made those by upholstering vintage tablecloths to foam and a backer board… similar to this headboard we made for our master bedroom awhile back!
I’m planning to share a tutorial for those just as soon as I can get my shtuff together.
Sorry about this bad cell phone pic. It was just too cute not to share!
The thing that looks like a giant brown turd in the bottom right side of the pic is our chocolate lab, Reuben. He hasn’t been an indoor dog long enough for us to train him to pose nicely for pictures.
This room is slowly taking shape, and on track to look as amazing as this computer rendering from our friends at MODSY.
We’ve got more projects in the works and hope to wrap up this room soon! It’s so fun including the girls in their room design, and letting them help bring the whole thing together. So rewarding!

My kids would LOVE a triple bunk, but we already have a pair of bunk beds, so that feels like enough lol. Seriously considering the bedding though after I made all four of the mattresses up last night. Where are the lights from that the girls are using to read at night?

Love the girls room and this is the first time I’ve seen the Beddy bedding. What a genius invention! Have you decided which tile to use in the kitchen yet? I’m looking forward to all the great things you guys will do at this house.

LMAO I legit thought your dog was a small rug or a furry floor pillow till I read the caption.

Aren’t these triple bunks the best? I recently got one for my 3 boys who all share a fairly small room. It’s been great! I am seriously considering the Beddy’s bedding too because the boys just aren’t ever making their beds!

Looking good. How tall are your ceilings?
Bethany Sy says
They’re 8 ft, I believe.
