Family pics by Molly Long

October 11, 2013 by Bethany Sy

I’m soooooooo excited to share our family pics that we JUST GOT from Molly Long. Like today! She showed us a sneak peak awhile back, so I knew that at the very least… the lighting was AMAZING. She timed things just right and showed up at our acreage just as the sun was getting low in the sky.Molly Long 7Molly Long 4mollylong

Having good lighting almost completely makes up for my bad-hair-day. Because one thing I know for sure… excessive humidity + wind = one HOT MESS on my head.

By the end, both of the girls were ready to turn in and call it a day. Glassy eyes are the best though. And it was a miracle of god that Della kept her ‘pretty’ in her hair. We wanted to make a special effort to help her look as girly as possible, because she still gets mistaken for a boy. Poor sis, her hair is taking it’s sweet time!

We’re so grateful to Molly for capturing our special family moments on our very own land. She’s so talented and patient with us, and we love having the girls childhood documented so beautifully.

Molly also took the girls’ newborn pics and their one year pics as well! Go check them out! And be sure to stop over to Molly Long Photography and be prepared to be blown away at her talent! You can also follow her on Facebook and Instagram!

Thanks again Molly!!!Sawdust and Embryos

SO beautiful!!! How wonderful to take them on your property, too. I could never bring Michael to visit, he’d be green with envy at your land.

Those pictures came out great! The light is seriously, amazing!
(I don’t know but I used to get your new posts in my email and I don’t get them anymore. =[ I happened to come across your blog on Pinterest and realized I stopped getting emails from your blog. I guess I just thought you hadn’t posted in awhile. I even resubmitted the “get blog posts by email” thing and it said I was already subscribed. Not sure what happened??)

We are Nick and Bethany! Welcome to our blog, Reality Daydream where we share our DIY adventures!

This project cost me less than $5 and gave me so m This project cost me less than $5 and gave me so much satisfaction! I’ve been enjoying this little corner of my counter for 6 months now, and I LOVE IT enough that I decided it needed to be a reel. You’re welcome! 😘

Making lunches is weirdly fun for me. So I snap a pic here and there to share and give ideas! Keep an eye on my stories for more! 🫶

I try to get at least one fruit and one veggie in there. For main dishes, some ideas besides sandwiches are: bagel, noodles with butter/parm, hotdog/bun, quesadillas, chicken nuggets, rotisserie chicken, ham/cheese rolled up in tortilla, and don’t forget about LEFTOVERS!!

My kids would rather have cold leftovers than a sandwich, so they don’t complain. But there’s also thermos containers if you love your kids more than I do.

Don’t forget a sweet treat! This is a great way to get rid of Halloween or parade candy. 😬
Every summer, I learn a little more about gardenin Every summer, I learn a little more about gardening. This year I learned:

🥒don’t transplant cucumbers after they’re established or it’ll stunt their growth and they won’t climb your trellis
🥕till deeper for carrots so they aren’t short and fat
🥦plant cruciferous veggies earlier in the spring so they’ll have time to mature fully

🙌Things I finally nailed: tomatoes, watermelon, basil, lettuce/spinach, strawberries, greenbeans.

What did you learn this year? And what have you mastered?

@Dimetapp Cold & Cough is our go-to for itchy, stuffy, runny noses and coughs! And I love that it is alcohol free, trusted by pharmacists, and the kids love that the taste is actually sweet! No more spitting out yucky medicine, here. Exactly what they need to feel better, faster. Now we can finally get back to doing all of the things we love together, like getting crafty at home with some fun DIYs.

What’s your next DIY project now that we’re all feeling better?!
