My family goes tent-camping every 4th of July weekend. It’s a tradition that’s been going on for 12ish years. All 7 of my siblings make a special effort to keep that weekend open for this, because we all SUPER value the times when we’re all together as a family.
These camping trips have changed over the years. I’ve gained 3 new sisters, a strapping husband, and 5 little crazies have been added to the picture. Camping is VERY different now.
When you ask my daughters to smile at the camera, this is what they do:
I would like to report that camping with toddlers is more fun and more MISERABLE all at the same time. That’s the best way I can explain it. You could call it somewhat chaotic at times.
But this time spent with family is priceless, and everyone is so helpful and patient with the little ones.
I had a video of my 5 brothers launching a cupcake HIGH into the air with a water balloon slingshot, but I can’t find it anywhere. So you’ll just have to utilize your imagination.
We were recently given the opportunity to review a Double Bob Revolution Duallie Jogging Stroller… we said yes with a lot of enthusiasm. This thing is the Cadillac of joggers. The mountain bike of strollers.

It feels so rugged and classy at the same time. And walking on grass or over rocks is no problem at all. The front wheel even swivels or locks into place for hardcore jogging. And it’s perfect for taking walks on our acreage.
And the sisters feel pretty darn comfortable in it too. We love this thing, and would recommend it to EVERYONE. They make single and double strollers, and have all the bells and whistles. I love that I can see them if I so desire.

When we were packing up to leave, the girls voluntarily climbed up into their carseats and patiently waited. It’s safe to say they were ready to head for home.
But then about 20 minutes later, we found this.
But it wasn’t long before we found this:
And now we’re in recovery mode for the remainder of this week! Lazy times infinity.

LOVE LOVE LOVE my BOB stroller!!!!!!!! ours is a single, but we use it as a double ALL the time (ada’s little butt fits the foot rest perfectly.) If i ever got a double stroller, for sure I would only get a BOB double. So cool you got one for FREE!
I LOVEEEE the toddler camo crocs and the baby sunglasses =] they are some cool kids!!!
Oh man, those crocs came in so handy while camping. We could just rinse them off every time they went wading in the mud, or peed on themselves 🙂
Looks like a great trip! The girls are so funny trying to drive the van! I really like camping and the great outdoors! Hope you are recovering well from the fun weekend!

Oh and totally jealous of your BOB 🙂 looks great! My husband recently purchased me a double jogger off of craigslist I hunted and waited for a dualie to show up at a good deal but it didn’t. I like mine but I hear amazing things about BOB!
I LOVE seeing girls that are so close in age to mine…so many similarities, espcially NOT looking at the camera. So camera-happy for about the first 14 months and now it’s a miracle if I get them both looking at the same time. SIGH…
