When it comes to vehicles, I’m a fairly low maintenance kinda girl. I don’t care how old it is, or what color. As long as it gets me around, and I feel generally safe in it… like it’s not going to break down on me at any moment. This character quality that I possess was of utmost importance to my husband when choosing a mate, as he is very opinionated when it comes to automobiles of any kind. I should add that he’s an excellent mechanic, and deserves the right to make such decisions for our household.
The car that I’ve been driving for the last year has NOT catered to either of our preferences. “Big Blue” as we like to call her, is a ’89 Honda Accord, and has been a thorn in our side since we got her. Not only is she unreliable, she also has a smashed in front end, resulting in a irreversible “padiddle’, no air conditioning, terrible tire tread, and a sun roof that POURS water down on you after a good rainfall. Needless to say, this vehicle was not ideal for our needs.
The Lord heard our cry of desperation, and made it possible to purchase a new (to us) vehicle, just in time! Before the snow falls! We’re super excited.
