Kickin’ it with the In-Laws…

October 26, 2009 by Bethany Sy

Nick and I love to entertain… and last weekend we were delighted to have Nick’s sister Sarah come to visit, with her 3 children, Draven, Alyssa, and baby Haleigh, as well as Grandma Judy! They drove up all the way from Muscatine just to see us and our new place!! After a tour of all 3 stories of our house… we had sloppy joes for lunch and got suited up to go ride horses down the road. Nick’s boss, Jeff, is one of his close friends as well as our neighbor out here in the boonies! And he has horses…

The kids seemed to LOVE riding! And Nick and I secretly loved riding too. 🙂 I think Alyssa will be moving on from Disney Princesses to wanting all things horses!! It was a great time trotting around the arena on the horses and taking turns giving the kids a ride. And so rewarding seeing them so happy! Smiling from ear to ear. Even baby Haleigh took the plunge! We’re so grateful for family, and that they took time out of their weekend to come up for a visit.
