So last weekend, our boy Reuben disappeared for a couple days. And based on the fact that we haven’t removed his man-business, his departure shouldn’t have surprised us. Shockingly, I missed the little devil and legitimately worried about him.
And then 2 days later, there he was in his doghouse when we came home from work, with an injured leg and tail. He was acting very weird and lethargic, and wouldn’t even eat. So we took our farm dog to the vet, like a couple silly city-folk-types. Dr Cooper diagnosed him with a severe case of ‘needs-to-be-neutered.’ He said there was no internal damage or broken bones, and no way to know exactly what happened to him, so he sent the three of us home with some antibiotics, a bill for $51, and a pamphlet on neutering…
Sorry buddy, those are going to have to go.
