If you’ve been following along on the ‘gram or Youtube, you know we’ve been turning this weird little room into our master bathroom! The original blueprints of the house have it labeled as the ‘sewing room’, and while I love picturing the original owner in here sewing her heart out, it just isn’t a practical room for us. It’s too small to be a bedroom, so it’s been THAT ROOM where we throw our stuff that doesn’t have a home.

Since our bedroom is right next to this room, we decided to make this our master bathroom!

Over the past year, we’ve demoed this room down to the studs, moved the French doors to a different wall, run new plumbing and electrical, insulated, drywalled, tiled, built a vanity and wardrobe, and put in our Peerless fixtures! Take a trip down memory lane with us…

That gorgeous window feels like a piece of art, and we wanted to really highlight it by painting the trim and mullions black. It stands out so beautifully! And having the tub sit centered in front of it makes for the perfect statement. I’m gonna need to do some shopping to find just the right chandelier to go up top.

Nick and I designed and built a walnut vanity with double sink, and matching armoire to by my closet (our bedroom has a TINY closet that we’ve been sharing up to this point). Nick did a beeeeautiful job with these pieces!

The armoire still isn’t finished, so I’ll show you that in a future post. But finishing the drawers, having the quartz counter and sinks installed, and getting those gorgeous Peerless faucets in place are the absolute finishing touches to this room, and we couldn’t be happier! Look at that sleek matte black faucet. ALL THE HEART EYES!

These are the Precept Lavatory Faucets by Peerless, and we love the classic, clean lines of them!

Having two sinks feels like SUCH a luxury after our family of 5 sharing a bathroom for years and years. An I’m obsessed with the solid walnut vanity. Aren’t these faucets the jewelry of this room?!

Let’s check out the shower too! This shower head is also in the Peerless Precept Collection with 6 settings and touch-clean spray holes. It has such a buttery-soft matte black finish.

This bathroom has been such a labor of love, and it feels amazing to see it finally come together! It’s all in the details, isn’t it?!

Stay tuned for the final reveal soon!!

Where did you find the plans to build the vanity?
Looking so good.
What will be where the square hole between the mirrors is now?
We’re putting in a stained glass window that was my grandmothers! My mom made it, and it’s so special!
Very cool, I love stuff like that
