Lampshade Spider April Fools Idea

March 30, 2016 by Bethany Sy

Most years on April Fools Day, the whole day passes without us even acknowledging it… let alone actually tricking or scaring each other. We just forget. We’re busy. It’s not a priority.

SAD! Right?

Well just yesterday I had THIS Lampshade Spider April Fool’s Idea. And whipped it out in less than 10 minutes.

Use your Silhouette to make a spider using sticky vinyl... and apply to the inside of a lampshade! {Reality Daydream}

I went to my Silhouette store and purchased this spider file from the Silhouette store for .99 cents. Then brought it up on my screen, set my blade to vinyl, and cut my spiders out of black vinyl!

Then, wait for it… I STUCK IT ON THE INSIDE OF THE LAMP. #groundbreaking

Try not to be confused by all the complicated steps of this DIY April Fools Joke. Your loved one who’s terrified of spiders will be so grateful that you went to such effort to make them pee their pants when they turn the lamp on.

File this one away for Halloween too. So much fun!

Of course there are other equally terrifying things you can do with a sticky black vinyl spider. Get creative!

    I’m not much of an April’s fool person but this little spider is cruel. It scare the poo out of me … I don’t do spiders. AT ALL.

    I love this! Harmless, yet super effective :). Last year I put a halloween mask in my sons bed, so when he peeled back the covers he almost died, and then he almost killed me. One year we snuck into my brothers garage and put googly eyes on all of his tools. A wrench with two googly eyes is actually very funny and cute. My son is 11 and having two boys over to sleep over tonight so my opportunities are three-fold. hmmmm.
