In honor of my oldest brother’s 30th Birthday (HAHA IN YOUR FACE SUCKA!), I would like to share some memories of the good ol’ days. If you don’t know my family personally, you may not see the hilarity in these photos that the rest of us do… but at least you’ll get your fill of 80’s clothing eye candy and extremely outdated wallpaper.
I give you, the famous Chicago architect, Nathan:
We were BFF’s right up until high school, when he became WAY cooler than me.
There was a time when I wanted to be just like him.
Then I came to my senses when I caught him wearing these socks, air guitar-ing to my piano playing. (Yes, that’s Tim playing the recorder, and Caleb dancing with his FAT legs).
This picture is more about ME than him… wasn’t I a diva?!
On this day, while preparing to go play in the snow, Nathan could only find the sleeves and hood to his coat.
Remember the days when rainbow shirts didn’t mean that you were a far-left democrat?
We loved baking cookies in our family… yowzers Nathan… that shirt!
And look how proud Tim is of his extremely powdered-sugary cookies he made!
Happy Birthday Nathan!! Your 30’s can’t be all that bad. 🙂
I just had to go back and read this blog again. One of my favorites. Thanks for the memories, Bethany.
Dad
similar to your ‘picture a day endeavor’ ruth? we all have our own epic failures. 🙂
I LOVE these pictures! They are amazing, I laughed so hard…your sunglasses are upside down, and the coat sleeve picture is hilarious! I love childhood pictures. I should post some of me sometime…hey whatever happened to your random pics from camp and stuff? I think you were going to post like one a week or something…
so i know it’s supposed to be about nathan, but that picture of TIM! he’s got that exact same expression!
Teary-eyes and giggling!
Can’t wait to see what they all post when you turn 30! No worries, seeing the Diva photo, haha!
Great job, Bethany.
LOVE IT! 🙂
Happy Birthday Nathan!
I love you guys…your whole family is amazing.
