BIG NEWS!

February 27, 2023 by Bethany Sy

This has been in the works for awhile, but I’m SO PROUD to share that my “Do the Thing” checklist notepads are available for purchase!

The idea for these task-promoting checklists was born from my own need for a way to organize my thoughts around a project I’ve been putting off. Sometimes I’m intimidated to start the project because it’s something I don’t feel confident about doing. Other times it’s just a task I’ve been dreading and putting off as a result. This helps soooo much!

But, let’s be honest, most often it just a project that has been put on the back burner for far too long because life gets in the way! That’s ok. And it’s completely normal. But I’m hear to help light a fire under your booty to GET THE THING DONE!

Whatever your reason, this fun checklist will help you organize your thoughts, make a plan, gather supplies, and execute in easy, digestible steps.

FOR EXAMPLE, let’s say I’m getting ready to paint and stencil my old vinyl flooring (which I’ve already done, and don’t recommend… but here’s a tutorial if you’re interested!). Step one on my Just DO the Thing checklist has us write down what the project is, and think through the process so we can make a list of supplies we need to gather and/or purchase.

My “Do the Thing” checklist has a perforated list you can tear off and check off items as you gather them from around your house and/or the store!

Step two reminds us to clean our workspace or make other preparations that need to be done in advance. For this project I was using as an example, I would have the room cleared out with nothing on the floor, and sweep/mop to have everything ready to go!

Step three has us make a list of actual steps in the process of executing the project. This helps us break everything down into bite size pieces, and will be very satisfying and motivating to check things off throughout the process!

All we have left is to execute, which is honestly the fun part. Am I right?

I can tell you from experience that having supplies gathered and a plan in place makes me 100% more likely to actually pull the trigger on a project I’ve been procrastinating. It even makes me, dare I say it, MORE EXCITED about the project! It’s almost like the hard part is done!

Why do we get in our own heads so much?!

Each of these checklist notepads comes with 30 tear-off sheets. I like to keep mine attached so I can go back and look at all that I’ve accomplished! But you do you. 🙂

Nick calls them our “Git ‘er Done’ pads, and he uses them too! I designed them so there’s nothing frilly about them so the dudes in our lives will feel comfortable using them. My hubby is SO motivated by lists!

You can use these checklists for so many different things. It doesn’t even need to be a DIY or home renovation project! Maybe you’re hosting a big gathering and are overwhelmed by all the prep, food, cleaning, etc that needs to be done. You get the point!

I hope you’re as excited as I am about this product launch, and can’t wait for you to tag me in your projects! (@RealityDaydream) I promise you, this will be a game changer.

Thank you for supporting me in this new endeavor! It’s scary and exciting!
