- 1 cup All-Purpose Flour
- 4 Tablespoons Granulated Sugar
- 3 Tablespoons Brown Sugar, packed
- 1 teaspoon Baking Powder
- ½ teaspoon Cinnamon
- ½ teaspoon Salt
- 6 Tablespoons Buttermilk
- 1 Large Egg
- ½ teaspoon Pure Vanilla Extract
- 1 Tablespoon Butter, melted
- ¾ cup Powdered Sugar 2 Tablespoons Cream Cheese, softened
- ½ teaspoon Pure Vanilla Extract
- ¼ tsp cinnamon
- 2 teaspoons Milk or Cream
- Preheat oven to 325 degrees. Spray the donut pan with cooking spray. In a large bowl whisk together flour, sugars, baking powder, cinnamon, and salt.
- In a separate bowl combine the buttermilk, egg, vanilla and melted butter. Add to the dry ingredients and whisk until just combined.
- Pour into a pastry bag or a ziploc bag with a corner cut off and pipe into the donut pan. Bake for 10 to 11 minutes. They wont be very golden brown, but should spring back when touched. Allow to cool for about 5 minutes then turn out onto a wire rack to finish cooling.
- Combine the powdered sugar, cream cheese, vanilla, and cinnamon until smooth. Add milk or cream one teaspoon at a time, whisking until creamy. Dip the tops of the donuts in the frosting and leave until set.
