The first matter of business this morning is to say that if your name isn’t LittleMyoo then unfortunately you’re not the winner of our Moen Kitchen Faucet Giveaway… (Congratulations LittleMyoo! Check your inbox!)
No real post today… just wanted to share some pics from our weekend adventure to Chicago to visit my brother Nathan, SIL Kelly, and nephew Miles! I was TERRIBLE and didn’t take a single picture all weekend… but luckily Kelly had my back and snapped a few pics for us to treasure forever.
The girls first time at a beach! It was a gorgeous day, but still not warm enough to jump in the water. But they had a blast touching the sand and picking up shells. They both wanted to get in the water BAD. Paisley wasn’t digging the feeling of sand between her fingers. Nephew Miles didn’t mind though!!

We got to visit ‘the Bean’… the girls loved seeing their crazy distorted reflections. Does anybody know the story behind ‘the Bean’ in Chicago? There has to be an explanation for why a giant reflective bean is a tourist attraction. I’m convinced it’s a two-way mirror and people are inside laughing at all the silly tourists.
We also painted 3 backsplashes over the weekend, and didn’t get home last night until 11:30… we are T.I.R.E.D. The girls did surprisingly well with all the busyness of the weekend, but the ride home was less than pleasant for all parties. I think they were pretty over-stimulated and so tired of being in the car. It goes without saying that we’re kicking back and doing nothing today.
When we go away for the weekend, I’m completely off the grid and don’t even THINK about responding to comments on the blog, or returning emails. WHAT BLOG? But I’ve been seriously considering getting a smart phone so I can jump on the Instagram bandwagon. Especially since several readers have asked for more pictures of the girls and our family. Are you guys on Instagram? Or is it a dying trend?
Fun! Family trips-love making memories! Yes! Do it-I am also addicted to Instagram! If you join-you could “meet” my Hutchinson! It is a fun way to connect!
Hello my name is Kelly and I am addicted to Instagram.
Beth! I was in Chicago this weekend, and I took pictures of those places! I saw people on the beach…what if it was you?! I know I shouldn’t be surprised we didn’t run into each other, considering we never run into each other around here, but still… that’s crazy!
Steph that IS crazy! We should have carpooled! 🙂
I just caved recently and got a smart phone… I became immediately addicted to it. And yes- INSTAGRAM! not close to dying off yet, and so much better then twitter, in my opinion 🙂
Congrats, LittleMyoo! *I’m jealous!* Bethany, the pics are always great! (and I see you with a camera in ‘the bean!’) But I have NO IDEA what instagram is, and I would hate to miss out on something if I don’t subscribe to the correct place to see them. Would they be on the blog page, or on Face Book, or somewhere else? PS-never realized just how much taller Nick is til I see this picture of you two together! Oh my!
Lori… I was TRYING to take a pic with Nick’s phone in the bean picture, but it turned out terrible. The picture was taken by Kelly on the right! Serves me right for leaving my camera at home. Blogger fail! 🙂
I never realized how much taller Nick is than you!! I’m glad you had a good time 🙂
And YES! Get a smart phone and get instagram. You’ll LOVE it!
OMG!!! I never win ANYTHING!! And this is super-duper special for me because YOU WERE THE FIRST BLOG I EVER EVER EVER READ!!! You taught me how to paint my backsplash, and I got brave enough to start my own blog! MWAH! And I need this for my new house!! Woot! (Can you tell I’m a little excited!?!)

Yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay!
Love Instagram! It’s easier than Facebook because you can link your photo’s there and you can hashtag for others to see your photo’s, if you desire. Looks like you had a fun trip! I know you have said it before, but man your hubby is TALL! He’s two heads taller than you! Hehe. You guys are so cute, it would be great to see more family photos! I’m just a picture person though! 🙂
