As you know, we’ve been making more of an effort to up our curb appeal now that we live in an actual neighborhood, rather than the absolute middle of nowhere.
Not that our neighbors have expectations, but we just don’t want to be THAT SHAGGY HOUSE on the street. Ya know?

This post is sponsored by STIHL. Thank you for supporting the fabulous brands that make Reality Daydream possible!
We have this row of bushes along our driveway that separates our yard from our neighbor’s. These bushes get SO unruly, and even scrape our car as we’re backing out of the driveway. So we set out to do something about it!

There are few things that bring Nick greater joy than suiting up and wielding landscaping power tools in public. I give you the STIHL Battery Powered Hedge Trimmer.

This hedge trimmer is lightweight and surprisingly quiet! It’s so convenient that it’s battery powered… and the battery has quite a long life! The blades are double-sided so they cut in both directions!

Nick enjoyed every moment of this hedge grooming. Cypress wanted to help sooooo bad, but I made her keep a distance with me. It was so fun to watch it come together and looks so neat!

Check out the before and after of this row of bushes!!

Isn’t it amazing how such a simple effort can make such a huge difference in your curb appeal? As much time as we spend fixing up the interior of our house, it feels good to be making strides toward improving the exterior too!

We don’t like the boxy hedge look. The haircut they gave these buses seems just right and leaves the bushes looking natural. You can see the curb well and tell that the bush is maintained.
I don’t see any difference in the before and after picture!
Ummm, did you upload the correct after pic? Cuz I don’t see much difference…
Trudy I agree….thinking there must be another picture out there !!!!

The pic on the right shows the hedges were tidied up which, I believe, was the objective. But … I also believe that those hedges will get a “Reality Daydream” refresh eventually. Heck … the inside is so beautiful you can tell where this couple is spending their creativity. Love that staircase to the upstairs!
