The man-boy and I are always looking for little ways to make our home more functional and pleasing to the eye… on a budget of course! And this little corner in our kitchen is less than pleasant.
Living in the country, recycling and being green isn’t entirely convenient. And to be honest, we probably wouldn’t make the effort if we didn’t have to. But since we don’t have garbage service, we burn all of our waste in a burn barrel, and have to separate out all of the ‘non-burnables’ (glass jars, tin cans, etc). And then every couple months, we make a recycling center run.
Let’s get to the point here: Inspired by Nick’s dad’s laundry-station-design, we got busy in the garage (Nick with a hammer, and me with a camera!)
We turned this sad purposeless corner of our kitchen, into a functional and organized space! And Nick got to flex his muscles and use his table saw!
And it gave me some serious storage for cleaning supplies, paper towels, etc! Win WIN!
We love it. The end.
How awesome! I love how it’s slanted and you can still bag the trash cans you’re using! Very very cool. 🙂

Love this! We have so little space, I wish that we could finagle(if this is actually a word and I spelled it right) something like that!! LOVE IT!
So….it’s been a LONG while. When do we get to see you guys again?
