Happily, I have the day off today, and will be taking advantage of my new burst of energy! These past couple months I’ve felt like a complete failure as a wife and homemaker, many times leaving Nick to cook for himself (he’s broadened his cooking skills to include frozen pizza, spaghetti, and hamburger helper!) and for that I’m grateful.
On my list of things to do today:
1) glaze the Drexel china cabinet (which is almost done!!)
2) paint curtains (you heard me)
3) clean kitchen
4) ponder cleaning the shower (and likely decide against it)
5) finish folding laundry
6) cook something delicious for the man-boy
I will do all these things with my sidekick, Kleenex. We’ve become inseparable these past few months. And yes, it’s still my allergies. I’ll be glad when I can ditch Kleenex be reunited with my long lost friends Zyrtic and Singulair. Take this photo for example. This is a half hour worth of tissue usage.
you poor thing. please do a tutorial of the painted curtains. i want to paint my kids shower curtain, but not really sure where to start. i’m thinking fabric paint, a stencil and sponge brush? and if you think that the tissue is gross, wait to you have kids….nothing surprises me any more.
not according to my OB doctor, fertility doctor and pharmacist! and you better believe i’m not taking any chances!
Zyrtec and Singulair are approved for pregnancy 🙂
That’s quite the to-do list for someone carrying twins!! I wish I had that much energy, and I’m just growing one 🙂

Up till about three years ago I used to have piles of tissues around me like that.
Per my awesome ENT dr I now do nasal lavage. It has changed my life! I have thought several times how much better my pregnancies would have been if I had known about this way back when. When I read about your pregnancy sinus troubles… well, there ya go! I use a NeilMed Sinus Rinse bottle that you can get at WM. I don’t buy the packets… what a racket. Ha! I have a 12 cup coffee pot that I use only for this. When the water has cooled to being slightly warm I add one tbsp Morton’s Kosher Salt and 1/2 tsp baking soda.
If anything, you can blog about the experience!
Painting curtains..? Little strange, don’t you think?!?! 🙂
well i guess i’m just that kinda girl that displays her nastiness for all to see. and seriously, if you’re watching a movie on the couch, are you really going to get up EVERY 30 SECONDS to throw away your tissue? no! you’d wait till after like i did. and yes, my husband is disgusted.
BETH! That’s disgusting. seriously. My husband would freak about the kleenex laying around, and basically kill me for even thinking of taking a pic! LOL!
