A New Sister

October 24, 2011 by Bethany Sy

Having grown up with five brothers and only ONE sister, it would be an understatement to say that the testosterone to estrogen ratio in my childhood home was severely off balance. But… I wasn’t considering the fact that as we become adults, those brothers would each be bringing me a brand new sister (assuming it’s girls they like, and they can find one to like them back). And against all odds, my little bro Caleb has found himself a lovely lass to become my newest sister! Meet Laura:

So ok…

Laura will be graduating in the spring with a double major in Marketing and Spanish, and she’s studying abroad this semester in Spain. Caleb plotted, without her knowledge, and flew to Spain last week to surprise her and ask for her hand in marriage! She was walking across this bridge (below) with a group of friends, and Caleb walked up to her and tapped her on the shoulder. When she turned around, he got down on one knee and asked her to be his forever wife!!! Are you getting all emotional like I am? Hearing such an amazing romantical proposal? You should be.

The following photo was NOT a reenactment! Real time folks! Real time!

She said yes.

How super adorable and lovely are they together? I love you Laura! Thanks for agreeing to be my sister!!
