There was a period of time that we thought our boy Reuben might be part Chesapeake, based on his course, light colored, somewhat curly hair. We entertained this idea, right up until Reuben started looking like this.


It was at this point we realized it’s just his nasty winter hair falling out… only to reveal a very shiny, chocolate lab coat under all the nastiness.


But until then, he looks like he has canine leprosy.
