Nick and I sat down and put together this list of handy woodworker gift ideas, gadgets and tools that make our building projects easier and more fun when we’re rocking out in the woodshop! Shopping for the woodworker in your life doesn’t HAVE to mean expensive power tools… we’re here to debunk that misconception!

Digital Angle Gauge – This little gadget measures angles… for setting blades on the table saw, miter saw, drill press, etc! Just press it against the blade or bit, and the magnetic properties keep it in place and tells you the exact angle digitally!
Pipe Clamp – These are some of the better clamps available, and they’re affordable because you supply the pipe! And they can be any length you need for whatever project you’re working on.
Cabinet Scrapers and Burnisher – Is used for removing small amounts of material in tricky areas, and helps smooth and sand flats and tricky contours or difficult grain.
Chisels – These are used for clearing out sections of wood, cleaning up corners, creating mortises, etc! Caution, not to be used to open cans of paint.
Honing Guide – Holds plane irons and chisels at the correct angle during sharpening.
Water Stone – An abrasive that is used to sharpen plane irons, knives or chisels. These come in a variety of grits: 800/4000 grit, 6000 grit, and 250/1000 grit.
Kreg Jig – used to make pocket holes for basic joinery.
Magnetic Feather Board – This gadget is to be attached to the table saw or router, and helps keep the wood in place and prevent kick back.
Grr Ripper – This is a super handy 3D push block that allows you to safely and accurately push lumber through the table saw. It’s protects your hands and gives you something to really grip!
Toggle Clamps – These guys are essential in jig-making for holding down the pieces of wood that you’re cutting using your jig.
Glu Bot – These glue bottles are easy to squeeze and are drippless and refillable.
Digital Protractor – Used for measuring and marking angles that are parallel to a surface.
