All in a year’s work

September 2, 2010 by Bethany Sy

A full year has come and gone since we moved to our acreage and started documenting the ups and downs of life on this here website. How many of you actually remember our very first post? Just a couple kids really, venturing out for a new chapter in our lives. Back when crop-dusters left us awestruck, and Reuben was just a tiny, not-yet-destructive, baby dog… and inactive reproductive systems only happened to others.

So, because tomorrow is the one year anniversary of our little blog, and because I’m feeling generous… I’m giving away another necklace!!

Your welcome!

CONTEST RULES

  • Comment below: and share how you take your coffee, how often you drink it, and your level of dependence.
  • Be sure to leave your email address
  • One entry per person
  • Ships to the United States
  • No bidding after midnight tonight (Thursday) CST time.
  • Winner will be selected at random and announced tomorrow

And for those that don’t win, and because I have more of these to get rid of, we will be selling them for a $25 donation to our InVitro Fund!  (while supplies last)

I am finicky when it comes to my java…it must be sweet, but not too sweet. It must be HOT, not warm. It must be thick and creamy but not too soupy and it must be strong. So that makes a triple grande 2% caramel macchiato. I live in small town USA so I don’t buy them as often as when I lived in Seattle, but making them is almost as much fun…and less sticky. I never spill my syrup! I am growing a new dependence on sleep instead of caffeine but I will never pass up a stop at Starbucks or Caribou! I hope I win! I LOVE this necklace!

I like my cafe mixed-part regular and part decaf, I usually select Hazelnut or Vanilla flavored. I enjoy the coffee with half and half cream. Of course, a Dove Chocolate with the last sip or two is the best.

I’m not a coffee drinker. 🙁 I will have an occasional Frapp or latte at Starbucks if I’m out and about!

I wanted to say I love your blog. (I just found it last week via somewhere unknown.) We have many things in common such as decorating/painting a new house, infertility suckiness, and very tall husbands. 🙂

i drink coffee once a day, and its more like a cafe ole.. 1/2 coffee 1/2 skim milk. i don’t really like drinking milk, but its sooo easy to drink when it’s coffee flavored! if i don’t have my cup i get a little cranky but i wouldn’t say that i HAVE to have it every day, i just like to! meredith.lm.dean@gmail.com

I am serious about my coffee. I take it any way I can get it. As I fall asleep at night I think about my morning coffee and how close I am to it. When I wake up, it’s the first thought I have. Currently I have a pretty sweet deal on coffee. The cafe on the campus where I work gives us an employee discount $.50/coffee! So I take my coffee hot or iced with a little vanilla syrup and cream. At home on the weekends, I used syrup from Gloria Jean’s (English Toffee), or I use a lactose free vanilla creamer from trader joe’s. Because I could drink coffee all day and all night, I have to limit myself to once a day in the morning, but all my coworkers know to steer clear of me until I’ve had it! My email address is of course…rachellatte@yahoo.com pick me! pick me!

I like my coffee black, strong, and just add sweetener. I am from Brazil (living in MI now) so our our coffee is strong (like espresso) and a small cup, not a mug… I used to drink more, but since I quit smoking (years ago) I only have it now and then, if the coffee is really good (like when my mom visits, then I’ll have it throughout the day).

If I make coffee at home I like some kind of flavored creamer and splenda in it. But I only make coffee at home about twice a week, even though I could probably use it every day. If I’m buying coffee somewhere special like Starbucks or Java House, I get some kind of delightful iced flavored thing that I pay wayyy too much for and feel guilty about later (iced peanut butter mocha from Java House=a yummy treat for $4+).

I love my flavored coffee. Anything spicy but not fruity. I take my cup outside on the porch most mornings and enjoy it while the earth wakes up. lodle-at-heartofiowa-dot-com.

I like my coffee cold – McDonald’s Frappes and iced coffee, best through a straw! and better with a free coupon!

I’m new to your blog, but I wish I had a million dollars to give to you so you can start popping out babies!

    These necklaces sure are lovely.

My morning latte is definitely a part of my daily ritual! I make stovetop espresso, microwave some milk, and add a spoonful of honey. mmmm.
