Divide and Conquer (and a countdown!)

This past weekend, Paisley and I took an impromptu flight to Denver, CO to visit my friend Sabrina! I love being spontaneous, and this was the perfect fix for me! Plus, I love to visit my close friends, and it’s been WAY too long since I’ve seen Sabrina (since our wedding! She was a bridesmaid!) It was a short trip… Pais and I flew out Saturday morning, and returned Sunday afternoon.

Paisley flew really well on the way there, but on the way back I think the altitude was really bothering her ears. And I’m sure she was overstimulated from the busy weekend and change of atmosphere, not to mention being over-tired. The poor people around us on the flight were very understanding and helpful.

I was that mom traveling with that crabby baby on an airplane. I even came super prepared with animal crackers, board books, toys, etc… but girlfriend wasn’t having it.

Delly and Nick traveled to SE Iowa to visit his family. Grandma Diane and Aunt Sarah got to spend some quality time with Adelyn while Nick helped his dad repair some farm equipment. I missed my girl desperately, but knew she was having the time of her life being the center of attention for once.

The reason I chose to take Paisley instead of Delly to Denver is because Paisley is so attached to me, and doesn’t always do well with others. Delly is so independent and chill.

We didn’t take hardly any pics of our weekend. It was so packed full and busy, snapping photos just wasn’t on the forefront of our minds. Neither was drinking water I guess, cause I’m totally dehydrated and a little loopy today. That and I have an ocular migraine.

Can we change topics for a moment?

I’m SO excited to announce that we’ve SET A DATE!  No no, not that kind of date. We’re already married!

We’ll be tearing out the wall in our living room in less than two weeks! I’m SO overjoyed that I whipped up this little countdown widget thingy so we can all anticipate together! It’s on the sidebar too. Can you tell I’m so excited?

We’re thinking about giving a play-by-play on our facebook page, so look forward to that.
