Blogging

January 26, 2012 by Bethany Sy

I got to thinking about how crazy it is how far this little blog has come in 2.5 years. I started this blog to document my journey as a newlywed, and a new homeowner… excited to share my love for interior design, family, and country living. I had no idea that so many strangers would find this life so interesting. I remember being tickled pink the first time someone I didn’t know left a comment. I never dreamed that one day we would have thousands of visitors each day.

I rarely glance over at my ‘number of followers’, and if I compared the success of my blog to many other blogs that I follow, I would be a blogging failure. But to have over 500 blog followers to date? I think that’s CRAZY! I feel so humbled and blessed that so many of you stick around for this wild ride that is my life. You’re all so encouraging to me as I blindly navigate marriage, design, parenting, photography, cooking, etc. I feel like you all are my BFF’s! And some days, your comments are the only ‘adult conversation’ I get to have! THANK YOU!

I ran across your blog and liked your back splash idea and that got me started on following your blog. Then I found out about your pregnancy. Well, after you had your two cute babies, I was hooked and I secretly love to “peek at the babies” on your Friday posts! And, BTW you make me laugh with your funny sense of humor. Have a great weekend.

I found your blog on pintrest by viewing the post you did on your kitchen painting. Little did I know in that moment you would become a source of inspiration in my life. I am facing IVF and searching for a way to fund the adventure and you have demonstrated that where there is a will there is a way.. Thank you so much Beth and Nick..and of course Dell and Paisle. ~Merideth

You aren’t navigating life blindly if you are following Christ and reading His Word. When you have time and the desire, would you discuss growing up with so many siblings and being homeschooled? I really am interested in your views on the positive and negative aspects you see of homeschooling.(And if you choose to share, your schooling plans for your girls.) Thanks for being honest with everyone. 🙂 ~Nicole

I wish I had followers and comments. 🙁 But I still write – someone is reading my blog, not hundreds daily, but at least 5-10 LOL.
