Some of you would argue that it ISN’T the season quite yet. But come on people, isn’t Thanksgiving more fun with a little Christmas twinkle? I get very excited about decorating my house for Christmas, but this year is extra special, because I have a husband to share it with, and our VERY OWN HOUSE to do with what we want!! Nick, and his persuasive skills somehow found a way to convince me that it’s a good idea to use our fake tree this year, and keep our budget intact. Normally, I’m ALL about going out and cutting down a tree and hauling it home and enjoying the festive aroma of fresh pine through out the holiday season. But it’s not worth an argument.
Also, I should note that a year ago, we were frantically planning a wedding and getting all the details in place for our big day. It made it very difficult for me to copiously enjoy the Christmas season in my normal fashion.
This year, we blasted Bing Crosby’s Christmas tunes, and frolicked about the house putting up decor here and there. It is legitimately one of my favorite days of the year. Nick doesn’t get what the big deal is. But he puts on his enthusiastic face, and makes it spacial and wonderful. He is an astounding man-boy. I love him with every square inch of my anatomy.

Great decorations! Even though I happen to be one of those people who CANNOT let Christmas start until after Thanksgiving! Thanksgiving is my FAVORITE holiday – the same great food and same great people – without the awkwardness of opening gifts while people watch!!!!!! The tree is beautiful – even if it is fake 🙂
