Melea’s Backsplash

June 6, 2011 by Bethany Sy

Melea loved the idea of having a backsplash in her kitchen, but didn’t love the price tag of expensive tile and labor, not to mention how long and messy a process it is. So naturally, she loved the cost, versatility and instant gratification of our painted backsplashes!! We aim to please!

Although her wall was already a neutral color that could have worked as a grout line, we talked her into painting it white… allowing the “tiles” to really stand out and make a statement. See what I mean?

Her backsplash now has that “finished” gourmet kitchen feel. She loved it so much, she took a whole stack of our business cards to pass along to her friends/coworkers! Thanks Melea!

Hi, your backsplahes are truly amazing and an inspiration! Because they are in the kitchen and exposed to lots of grease and gunk, are you sealing the paint with anything? Thank you!

Hi… YES! We do recommend sealing with a clear water-based poly, like Minwax PolyCrylic. Hope this helps! If you decide to go for it, be sure to send pictures!!

OH WOW, that is amazing. Looks incredible. Do you have any tutorials on how to do this. I need a backsplash, LOW COST alternative just like that.

    Hugs, Bella 🙂
