I just licked strawberry jelly off my shirt, and I shall continue wearing it, because today… instead of throwing on my business casuals, my Mom is coming! And wouldn’t you know it, we’re going to craft today. Like we ain’t never crafted before. Sewing to be more specific.
But for now, the house is quiet and empty, except for the sound of the washing machine dishwasher. So I shall take this opportunity to discuss Jennifer’s backsplash. It’s what I do on Mondays. Jennifer (along with her hubs and sweet little boy Easton) is yet another referral from our girl Katie from a few weeks back. Thanks Katie!!
This was the blank slate we were given:
And after we did our thing…
To be honest, there was some major capillary action on this backsplash, and I should have photographed it before we fixed it. Basically, sometimes the paint seeps under the tape a little. And a lot of people like this look because it allows the tile to have a bit of a rough edge, making for a more ‘natural stone’ look. But on this day. It was especially globby. But nothing a little white ‘grout’ paint rescue couldn’t fix! We think it turned out darn awesome!
