Hypothetical Home Updates

February 10, 2011 by Bethany Sy

Nick and I have been super lazy this week, and have no new projects to show you. Not even close. But with all this down time, it’s given me more time to think about all the things I want to do to my house. Things that probably won’t get done till the kids graduate from high school. Don’t get me wrong, we love fixing up other people’s houses, but we have high hopes for our own too. It’s been put on the back burner in the interest of more important things… initially, as we scurried to save enough money to get professionally knocked up. And more recently, for our plural pregnancy/future family!

And because posts are more interesting with pictures, I’ll share a photo of a little history we found after removing a ceiling tile in the bathroom.

I just love the layers of the past. I would say ‘what were they thinking with those colors/patters?!!!’ but it really is sort of charming. Especially since my Grandmother still has that exact floral paneling in her dining room.
