First off… HELLO! Those meals you guys are throwing at me for our Recipe Exchange look so so sooooooo yummy! Are you frantically writing them down on recipe cards like I am? Keep ’em coming!
Secondly, my bloggy friend Mrs. Lloyd is FINALLY PREGGO! It makes me tear up a little every time a friend struggling with infertility finally gets their miracle! Reading through her blog a little last night, all the pain and heartache of infertility came rushing back into my veins. It physically hurt. And made me panic and want to have frantic strategically-timed sex and take pregnancy tests every 20 minutes again. It also made me remember the day I saw that positive pregnancy test… which led me to remember that: I never shared that story on the blog! And it’s a good one. I got all wrapped up in creating our “Pregnancy Announcement Video” and never thought to tell the whole story! It’ll take me some time to type the whole thing out. But you have that to look forward to in the next week or so! I still watch this video every couple weeks. And I still cry every time.
Something else you can look forward to is seeing a little crafty project I’ve been doing with the girls! (It’s NEVER too early to be crafty with your young ones!) here’s a little sneak preview photo:
And, I know it’s been a long time coming, but we’re finally starting to wrap things up with the china cabinet we’ve been laboring over. Actually, Nick got a little burnt out on furniture while I was pregnant since he had to do everything himself there for awhile. So this china cabinet is 95% ALL ME! That’s right. And of course I can’t leave you without a sneak preview of that too!
And… I may or may not be thinking about painting our backsplash WHITE and starting over fresh! And… here’s my inspiration backsplash! Tiny tiny tiles, right? and LOTS of tedious taping in my future! …when I showed Nick, he said “are you being serious right now?” Come now honey, we can totally pull this off.
In other news, last weekend we visited Grandpa Bob and Grandma Diane in southeast Iowa and had a total blast! Instead of going into too much detail (I’m trying not to be so wordy lately) I wanted to share these AMAZING BLANKETS Grandma Diane crocheted for the girls!!! I ABSOLUTELY LOOOOOVE them! Orange and pink combo? What could be more perfect?! They’re both orange/pink striped, but one has a pink border, and the other orange! And they’re super-duper soft and snuggly. I can’t wait for the girls to love their blankies!
Well this turned into a pretty excessively long post, when in fact it was supposed to be just a brief update. Do you feel updated? Do you get bored of our lives? Cause I just blog about our life, our family, our projects. It’s a mystery to me that so many of you come back for more. But I want to say THANKS for sticking around for our dysfunction!

Aww, thanks! I love your blog!

Hi! This is my first time commenting, but I’ve probably been following for a year. Just wanted to say that I love reading your blog and don’t ever find it boring. You are too funny for that! Keep blogging. I’ll be reading:)

To be honest Beth, I still cry every time I watch that video also. My heart is so full of joy and happiness for you still! 🙂
