Don’t get me wrong, I love all things obnoxious. But the blotchy, teal, uneven sponging just wasn’t working for me. This photo was PRE-makeover, with the exception of our amazing dining room table.
I chose this crisp celery green. It makes me feel happy, when everything else in life is a horrible shade of blotchy teal. The hardest part of this makeover was the excessive coats of white paint on the trim. Had I known it would take 7 coats of tedious trim-painting, I may have left it boring beige. And so, over the course of 5 weeks, we righted all wrongs.
This is my favorite part of the room. Yes that is my wedding bouquet, yes I had artificial flowers on my wedding day and do not apologize, and yes, that beautiful quilted runner was made and given to us by Nick’s sweet Grandma Sy.

Okay, so I saw your A.M.A.Z.I.N.G. kitchen painting on pinterrest & followed it here to your dining room where I am completely in love with that celery green color. Pleeeease tell me you know the brand/name of this paint. I have been looking for the perfect green for my farmhouse dining room for years in trying to avoid the dreaded minty green. Thanks in advance for any help you might provide.

Rebecca, I’m glad you love our dining room! Unfortunately we painted it couple years ago, and for the life of me I can’t remember the color. AND… we used every last drop, so we don’t even have the can leftover. I really wanted a ‘celery green’, and chose the color accordingly. So I encourage you to stand in the paint aisle and look for something celery-ish. Sorry that’s the best I can do! Good luck!

Awwww! I’m so excited. I painted my fireplace wall this beautiful, gorgeous pop deep teal blue like your blue in the kitchen and then I wanted crisp celery green on other walls next to it but was afraid it wouldn’t work so I gave in and did this light blue but I don’t like it! Now after looking at your beautiful celery green and blue, I realize it will work!! Haha! Thank you for sharing your life and colors and everything!

Love the pale celery color and your accents!! It has been so fun to watch the transformation of your home. And, to watch you grow into an amazing woman and wife! I’m wishing we had a house to redecorate. We will soon enough I’m sure.
