Born Again

July 30, 2010 by Bethany Sy

Remember these little gems?

All they needed was a little TLC! We agreed on this funky Shrek green color.

First we spray painted them green!

Then we added glaze for the ‘antiquing’ effect. And the varnish for the glossy effect.

These babies are going back up on craigslist where we found ’em. We love flipping furniture!
*UPDATE* SOLD!!!!!!

These look great! Did you have to sand or strip these before spray painting?

We just lightly sanded them to give them some ‘tooth’ for the primer to stick to.

Oh we still occasionally get drips, but generally we’re able to avoid them by putting on several thin coats. It’s hard not to be impatient, but it’s totally worth it!
