Anna

May 31, 2010 by Bethany Sy

It’s hard to believe, but my baby sister graduated from high school this weekend. Being the only girls out of 7 children, Anna and I have learned to stick together, and have always been there for each other… despite our 10 year age difference. She’s finally old enough that we can share clothes and make-up tips, talk about boys, etc. I should probably add that I’m getting old enough that her style, makeup and clothing are far better than mine, and more often than not… she’s doing MY hair or makeup, and I’m  borrowing HER clothes and shoes. And, she got better hair and bone structure I might add. So not all of it is entirely my fault. Genetics are playing a role here people.

Anna is going to Northwestern College in the fall to study Elementary Education. She really just wants to be a wife and a mom though… so for her sake, I hope that genetics don’t play a role with regards to her reproductive system. Which reminds me, my loving 17-year-old sister offered to be a surrogate mother for me, if need be. How sweet is that? That it even crossed her mind?! I don’t know how well it would go over at her strict Christian college, having a little pregnant freshman attending classes and acting like she did nothing wrong.

Luckily, I should be able to carry my own child… once the little guy is placed into my uterus, so theoretically I shouldn’t need such assistance. But such a lovely sentiment from my sister either way.
How is it that I turn every topic into a fertility conversation? I apologize. I hate it when other people do that.
Congratulations Anna!!! I love you!
