My beloved and I took a sick day today to discuss all the textures and viscosity of drainage coming from all of our orifices. With us nearing the end of this month and Nick’s strict budgeting disease, we’re low on food in the house… so for breakfast we got creative. Your gonna want to try this. Here’s what you need:
1 roll Pillsbury Crescents
1/4 cup (ish) cinnamon sugar mix
2 T melted butter
Slap out your crescent triangles.
Slather on some butter with a brush.
Generously sprinkle on the cinnamon sugary goodness.
Roll ’em up.
Place on cookie sheet.
Stand back and admire your hard work and creativity.
Bake as directed on the Pillsbury package. Ours got a little crispy because our oven has a mind of it’s own.
Enjoy the pure deliciousness.
You could even whip up a drizzly powdered sugar/milk icing for these little beauties. We didn’t because we were impatient and hungry and sick. Probably not the most nutritious breakfast for the ill…
Now I shall go take a nap.
We did something like this for Home Ec in middle school, but added marshmallows (a similar recipe is at http://www.cooks.com/rec/view/0,164,152171-232204,00.html — but we didn’t make the glaze. Our school wasn’t exactly known for overachieving. Except when it came to bomb threats. My peers went above and beyond with those…). Thanks for the reminder!
PS Hope you are feeling better!
