I’m a long-time lover of mason jars, and the vintage/industrial feel that they provide. Who doesn’t love drinking rum and coke lemonade out of a mason jar on a hot summer day? These inexpensive and easily accessible glass jars have SO many uses, and I’ve been oogling all the amazing ideas there are out in blogland and Pinterest. Using mason jars for lighting, centerpieces or storage is a fun and inexpensive way to update. I hope these ideas will get your creative juices flowing, or give you some fun and easy holiday gifting ideas! (Click on each photo to go to the corresponding website- if known)
Let’s start with centerpiece ideas!
Lighting Ideas are next!
And finally: Mason Jar STORAGE!

Have you already tried any of these ideas? Are you GOING to try any of them? I have a whole box of mason jars that I’m really excited to play with. I’ll keep you apprised!
These are such great ideas!
I stumbled on your blog because of a comment that you left on YHL. I just hafta say that I love your blog because I live in an older farmhouse; I just started doing some DIY after looking at blog after blog and watching HGTV. Do you know of any other DIY old farmhouse blogs/DIY blogs that you really like?

hmmm, good call on using a screw instead of glue. i’m sure my super logical husband would have stopped me before i did something super unstructural like using glue. 🙂
I am putting glass jars in my craft room too! I think it is safer to screw the lid into the shelf, since it is less likely to fail than glue, and falling glass jars aren’t nearly as cute 😉
Wow, I’m loving all these ideas, and how you organized them into handy groups! I’m definitely pinning this to refer back to. Such great ideas!!!
ooo people! i just found another GREAT mason jar project with a christmasy theme! head right over to Ashley Ann’s blog at:

as you can see, i’m very busy today and not surfing the internet at all. 🙂
Someone else has been stalking Pinterest! I love, love, LOVE the mason jar lights that you had pictures of! I also have 4 shelves of mason jars in my “storage cellar” in my home from my grandmother. I do believe I will start hauling some of those babies out and see what I can come up with!
