I mentioned awhile back about how we were struggling with the girls’ sleeping situation. There was a lot of fooling around that occurred after ‘lights-out’, with them still sharing a crib and all that jazz. And if it were just fooling around, that would be fine… but there was scratching, and paci-stealing, and using each other as footstools to try and hurl themselves over the edge (unsuccessfully nonetheless).
Luckily, this was just a phase, so we’re holding off on our crazy plan to build a crib divider. They still jabber and play for at least an hour before falling asleep, but that’s ok with me. We’re just going to go with the flow and see how things develop. I sort of love having them sleep together. And I love seeing the various positions they fall asleep in.
I’m ‘that mom’ that creepily loves to watch my babies sleep, and take pictures with my phone. They’re just too cute not to capture.
When I was flipping through pictures to make the girls’ photo books a couple weeks ago, I found this video that I forgot about (from several months ago)… and thought I’d share!
Happy weekend my people!
So just curious, are the girls still both able to squeeze into one crib! If so, that’s impressive!
Amanda, the girls are STILL sharing a crib at 21 months!!! Sometimes even *I* can’t believe it. For the most part, it’s been going really great! There are some nights I wish we had a video monitor… hehe!
Ok please explain! I still don’t understand why you can’t fit two cribs. I keep looking at pictures of the nursery and can see another crib fitting or even a playyard.
Too adorable!
So cute! I think it’s great that you still have them together! 🙂
Sooooo funny! I take creepy night-vision pics of my girls too! I love seeing how they wind up. They have been in separate cribs since about 4 months because Peyton started the shenanigans and started waking Macy up constantly. Macy is a hard sleeper, she’s been going through the night for quite awhile now, but feisty Peyton just can’t quite make it (she also doesn’t finish her nighttime bottle because she’s ornery). They do still roll around and look at each other and talk to each other, (I have their cribs touching end to end) but it’s not so bad being in different cribs.
I love that video too! Isn’t it so funny when they get stuck and can’t figure out how to do anything else!? Hahaha!
If it makes you feel better, my little girl (19 months) fools around for at least an hour before bed. She talks to herself, practices every word she knows, and has started counting too. We turn the monitor up and just laugh. She has always done this even though it’s just her. I figure it’s her way of winding down. I have tons of sleeping pictures too:)
Oh my gosh those pics of the babes sleeping are so cute! My girls are two years apart and have been sharing a room for 6 years. They STILL fool around at night before sleeping, but it’s become a welcome nightly ritual.
