Nick and I are sitting here with our computers in front of us… a hot mess of flannel and bed-head. In a daze.
Nick is listening to Celine Dion.
We’re all a little disconcerted after spending a sleepless night cleaning vomit and changing crib sheets every 20 minutes. My girl Della was overcome with the stomach flu at 1am. At 2am, after changing both girls’ pajama’s 3 times, we decided to separate the girls so at least Paisley could get some sleep and not have chunks matted in her hair in the morning.
Hope you weren’t eating breakfast.
It’s now 8:30, and both girls have gotten a head start on their morning naps. It’s sure to be an interesting day! Here’s to hoping Paisley dodges this affliction.
Can we change the subject?
Thanks.
So it started snowing on Monday, and hasn’t really stopped yet.
I thought about taking the girls out to play today, but we all know that’s not gonna happen.
Yesterday, I was out with my camera.
Reuben is thinking… oh SNAP, has someone really come to play with me in the snow? DREAM… COME… TRUE.
And then this happened.
And I began feeling fearful.
He spared my life, and instead proceeded to run in circles like a crazy.
He’s a special dog. But we love him just the same.
Ya know, the snow is pretty and all, but I’m aching for spring. I guess it’s that time of year when everyone’s OVER winter. But the way our temperatures have been very bi-polar, I’m guessing this snow won’t stick for long.
so sorry to hear about your sick night. We’ve been up a LOT lately with teething lately, but thankfully have not yet had any puking bouts… yes, I’m dreading the day he gets his first stomach flu, especially considering that babies have NO idea that they need to not just puke wherever they happen to be. yuck. sorry again. THinking about you! Let’s get together when they’re all better! oh and laughed out loud about the fearful of dog pic and comment!
Awww poor Della, I hope she’s better soon, and your Paisley doesn’t catch it. We are having the same weather, mild and snowy, lots of snow this winter…but a lot melted today, too. I love the snow, so I don’t mind. I love spring, so bring it on! Yeah, I’m conflicted. lol
Debbie 🙂
OMG, your doggy looks like he is having SOOOOO much fun!! Hope the sickness spell subsides soon!!
The dog pictures are TOO CUTE! So funny. Thanks for sharing.
I hope your little one feels better soon.
UGH. Mommy confession: I am TERRIFIED of nights/days like you just described. Puke, poop, dirty beds and clothes… Not only would I be scared for the health of my babies, but I have a pretty weak stomach myself and I fear that I will be “sympathy puking” right along with them. Let’s just hope my hubby is okay with the puke-cleaning. I guess I have been lucky (knock on wood) that this hasn’t happened to us YET in our 14 months. It’s only a matter of time, isn’t it?
Get some rest, mama! Hope everyone gets to feeling better soon!
Oh poor mama. My dog also runs in fast circles, it is so cute. And he looks like a nice dog. Hope the ladies don’t share this. Mary in NY
Grandson has the same thing here. He is going on his third day of it. Hope you have better luck!
Poor darling … hope Paisley dodges the sickies. Snow is pretty on cards (that’s it). ha ha ha
