Photoshop Editing Tip!

November 3, 2011 by Bethany Sy

Ever since I was in design school, I’ve had Photoshop on my computer… and absolutely NO idea how to use it. I’ve googled tutorials and whatnot, but they always assume you have a basic knowledge of photoshop, which I don’t.

But yesterday, my photographer friend Destri posted this photo on her facebook page. Notice the eyes…

Aren’t they so reflective and glassy in the second shot? I immediately fell in love and asked Destri if she would show me how. And wouldn’t you know it? She agreed! AND she gave me permission to share it with you all! Here’s the link to the tutorial on her website! (and while you’re there, check out her amazing portfolio!)

I tried my hand at it with this photo of Paisley:

Before pic:

After pic:

The difference is only slight, but it adds such an amazing depth and sparkle to the eyes! I love it! Can you see the difference? It makes the photo totally come alive! Plus Paisley’s just plain cute anyways. It’s hard to remember her being this tiny!

Wow, very big difference between the before/after! It’s all about the eyes… 🙂

Thanks for sharing! I’m the same way with Photoshop on my computer and no idea how to use it! I’ll have to try this out!
