Our weekend, in case you’re interested

August 27, 2012 by Bethany Sy

The weeks are FLYING by… it seems like I BLINK and it’s Monday again!

Last Friday, the girls and I got invited by my BFF (we really call each other that… mature, I know), to go swimming at her parents house! We jumped all over that… especially after being cooped up in the house all week!

Delly loves the water, but it takes Pais awhile to warm up to the idea. She’s not a risk-taker by any means. Here’s a pic of her when she finally took a chill-pill.

Our husbands met up with us after work, and we all went out on Nicole’s parents boat! It was SOOO fun! Unfortunately, I forgot my camera back at the house. And I’m so upset about that, because there were so many great photo opportunities!

Saturday, we sanded furniture. All day.

And Sunday, we headed up north to my Granny B’s! Nick wanted to help her clean out one of her sheds.

This was my Grandpa’s woodshop. He’s been gone many years now.

My parents and brother Josh came to help out! Josh took many loads of junk to the burn pile.

My mom got some serious bonding time in with Adelyn.

It was so cute watching them. Girlfriend is so spunky, and has so many facial expressions. Her personality was in full swing!

Paisley got herself over-tired, and refused to fall asleep in the pack-and-play. So my Granny B took it upon herself to rock her to sleep! So sweet. Here’s she is right after waking up. Take note of the sweaty circle her sweaty head left on my Granny’s shirt.

The boys finally finished up in the woodshop…

Musty. And Dusty. And things that are Rusty. And crusty.

They made this much progress in a few short hours:

Wowza, right? Nick is very ambitious, and an extremely hard worker. I love him so much! We finally wrapped up our weekend festivities, and headed home. After some whimpering from the backseat, this happened:

And now it’s Monday. Phewf!

They did an amazing clean up job, the girls are so adorable. My granny used to rock me too, I have rocker in my home now and I rock by grandbabies in it. They look pretty tuckered out from their day, so cute.
