Oh the everyday…

September 13, 2012 by Bethany Sy

It’s been a pretty low-key week so far ‘round these parts. After our whirlwind weekend of traveling, it’s a welcome change. The babes and I haven’t left the house since Sunday, and don’t have any immediate plans to. Usually by Thursday, I’m getting cabin fever and feeling pretty isolated way out here in the country, but not this Thursday.

I’ve declared it pajama day. Paisley’s wearing Christmas PJ’s and Adelyn has on Valentine’s PJ’s. We have year-round holiday spirit for all holidays.

Us ladies of the house have some seriously goobery noses, and violent hacking coughs. Those with oozing orifices need to stick together. Not sure how Nick managed to avoid this affliction, but all the better for him… having to provide for our family and all.

These last few days, when I hear one of my children sneeze, you wouldn’t believe how fast I move. We’re talking Niagra Falls on the face. Do I have the only toddlers that stick their tongues out when there’s snot flowing over their mouths?

I’m sorry, were you eating lunch? Probably not anymore, huh.

Did I just call the little squirts toddlers? When did I become a mother to TODDLERS?

OH! Funny story! …A couple days ago, Nick and I were sitting on the couch discussing our unruly and ‘spirited’ children. In the middle of our lamenting, our computer beeped (notifying us we have an email), and it was an email from Baby Center with the subject title ‘How to handle your toddler’s behavioral problems’.

How fitting.

We’re wrapping up some stinkin’ awesome projects! Can’t wait to share!

Wow, am I all over the place today, or WHAT?! Do I bore you guys? Are you there?

I’m beginning to think that Baby Center has mind readers. It never fails that I’ll be thinking about something my child is going through and I’ll get an e-mail about it day before/day of/day after. Unreal.
