My sis gave me this sweet decorative birdhouse that she crafted on her own! A family of sparrows has taken up residence, and we’ve enjoyed watching them bring twigs and leaves to build their nest and prepare their home for a family. That is, assuming nature gives them that ‘privilege.’
My mom contributed the sweet paint can flower pots, and Nick attached the tacky thermometer.
These goldfinches showed up yesterday, wishing they had been house shopping a little sooner. The way the bird-housing market is, they might have to settle for something far less ritzy than our high class, homemade birdhouse/decorative garden ornament. I must admit that I’ve spent a significant amount of time trying to photograph our sparrow family, but they’re very difficult to capture on film. These finches weren’t shy though.
