My hump My Hump

April 7, 2011 by Bethany Sy

My lovely baby bump!
Check it out!

Girlfriends are getting hefty these days. They definitely have exceeded the ‘girls up top’ in size… the twins to the north if you will. But now that they’re making themselves more ‘known” (both is size and physical activity) it’s all becoming more of a reality!

Though I will say, I was only feeling Baby B for a full week, and I worried that Baby A was in some distress. After a brief phone call to my nurse, I was hoping for some reassurance that this was normal for twin pregnancies… but instead she told me I should come in for an ultrasound to double check the twosome. Well it turns out they’re both fine. When the Dr once told me “both placenta’s are in front” what he meant to say is “although both placentas are in front, one is down low, and one is up high… so you might not feel Baby A as soon as Baby B.” The bottom line here is that I’m a paranoid first-time-pregnant future mom of twins. And I had a hard enough time getting them IN there to begin with… the trip to Ames was worth my piece of mind.

Not only are both girls still alive and ‘kicking’ (pun TOTALLY intended!), I consider it breaking news that Nick felt a kick for the first time last night!! I think 22 weeks is pretty good!

You are so cute! This is a great picture. I hope you enjoy all the moving, even when it gets to be rather…vigorous. I’m so happy God has blessed you!
