Girls Gone Wild

May 4, 2011 by Bethany Sy

Girlfriends in my belly been goin’ crazy. Sometimes I just look at my belly and can see from the outside the madness going on inside. I love it SO! I’ll say, “oh B, what exactly are you trying to accomplish in there?” or “oh A, that’s my bladder… let’s find another toy.”

I’ve had inexplicable energy lately that can only be attributed to nesting. When it comes to the nursery, I have unlimited adrenaline. Can’t wait for it to be completed!!

Since I’m a realist, I will say that… my back has been KILLING me. And I know it will only get worse. I’ve embraced it as part of the full pregnancy experience. I’ve been learning strategies to get out of bed, keep comfortable at work, and do the dishes… sideways. Nick is taken with my belly, and thinks it’s the weirdest thing ever. I’m not quite sure what he was expecting, but it’s fun to watch his reactions as I get bigger and more “disfigured.”

Here’s the current look at 26 weeks:

The girls are measuring in at 14 inches from head to toe, and are nearly two lbs each! Which leaves me accountable for the remaining 38 lbs that have been gained so far. My biggest craving has been: FOOD. Food of any kind. Possibly contributing to the excessive weight gain. But since I was slightly underweight to begin with, the doc says it’s all good.

Well, that’s all for now folks! Thanks for being so interested in my innards.
