16 Weeks

February 24, 2011 by Bethany Sy

Time for a baby update! No baby bump picture this time around… I haven’t put makeup on in days. Does that mean I’m already letting myself go?

We had our 16 week ultrasound, at which our educated guess was confirmed… BOTH GIRLS! Of the 133 votes on our Baby Gender Pole, the vast majority voted for one of each sex… but second place (at 31%) was both girls. We already love those little ladies so much! It’s all starting to feel so real!

You’ll have to excuse the racy inappropriate photo below, but I wanted to show just how the girls are gestating! If it helps, it’s only an illustration. I could only HOPE for a booty so perky!

The girls are measuring 4.5 inches long, and weighing in at 5 oz each! It’s hard to believe how fast they’re growing each day! My mom got so excited, she went out and bought two tiny girly outfits and mailed them to us. Both very similar and lady-like, but not too matchy-matchy… perfect! Nick walked around with one in each arm, like there were actual babies inside. SO cute.

Photo compliments of babycenter.com!

HA! Funny they weigh 5 ounces each. Aaron is now eating 5-6 ounces every four hours. Okay, maybe that was a morbid comparison, and it’s fluid ounces not weight……..anyway….

Bethany, I’m really glad babycenter pointed out where your babies heads are. I think I wouldn’t have been able to identify their heads in this diagram without babycenter’s helpful arrows and “head” label. bahahahahahaa

THANKS for the update!! You’re helping my baby fever – I love living vicariously through you! However, the pink is new to me!

Nick’s a bit of a natural with the ladies, right? I think it’s perfect that you start out with girls 🙂
