Sorry for my blatant lack of posting this week. The girls got spoiled last weekend with family members loving them and holding them constantly, and they decided that mommy should have 4 arms and unlimited time to hold them and play with them now. Not gonna happen. So it’s been a trying week, as I try to break habits before they become permanent. Don’t they look so naughty in this pic?
Lots of people have been asking us if any nicknames have emerged for the girls… and the answer is YES! For a long time, we called Adelyn ‘Crazy Horse’ because she was the high-strung wild girl with tons of personality and… volume. One look at her, and you KNEW she was an ornery little scoundrel. I thought she was going to be my wild child that’s always getting in trouble and sneaking out at night, etc. But she’s calmed down a lot, and has turned in to a snugly sweetie! Her smiles aren’t as frequent as Paisley’s, but when she smiles… it lights up her whole face, and you just want to squeeze her!! Anyway, I started calling her Adele, and that turned in to simply ‘Dell’. So we call her Baby Dell pretty much all the time.
Paisley, on the other hand… she’s got lots of little nicknames. She gets called ‘Pais Pais’, ‘PJ’ or ‘Peej’, and ‘Paisley Petunia’ or just plain ‘Petunia’! After going through her Hemangioma crisis and suffering through Acid Reflux, Paisley’s personality has really come out. She’s back to being our happy girl again, but she’s much louder. Her high pitch happy-screams make me worry the windows are going to shatter. Or that Adelyn’s eardrums are going to shatter. She talks constantly and likes to be the center of attention. If she’s not screeching, she’s gargling her own spit.
That’s all I got for ya today! Lots of projects in store this weekend, and hopefully I’ll be a better blogger next week. Happy Friday, friends!
Dell is on the right, of course.
So cute! I love seeing pictures of them every Friday… Makes me smile! = )
