Lazy

On this blustery spring day, I miraculously have the day off from work. It’s a bizarre, confusing feeling. It feels so… wrong. To just be at home, on a Thursday, doing nothing. But alas, there is lots of things I should be doing. To name a few: shower/get dressed, laundry, dishes, weeding… and I really WAS planning on weeding today, but there are so many legitimate reasons not to weed.

• It’s very windy. And by windy, I mean ‘blow-you-over’ windy. You see, we live in the midst of wide open and very vast farmland, and some would argue that we’re perched on a bit of a hill… making windy days feel like we should take cover in the basement. And although wind should have no reason to prevent me from weeding, it just makes being outside generally unpleasant.
• Speaking of unpleasant, I’m putting off weeding the garden because I have a feeling the demon-dog is going to be eager to help. And I would tend to frown upon eager 10 month old chocolate labs wanting to ‘help’ with anything. Of any kind.
• And last but not least, I’ve been feeling anxious to finish my queen size ‘Chocolate Brown Headboard’ that I’m so very excited to share with you!!! I’ll be posting photos SOON!
