Gloria’s Backsplash

September 20, 2010 by Bethany Sy

Gloria and her husband have a lot in common with us… they got married just a couple weeks after we did (back in January of ’09), and bought their house within days of us (back in September ’09)!! And now… they have a painted backsplash!

When we got to Gloria’s house, she had seen Tim and Carrie’s backsplash here on the blog, and she knew she wanted something different and unique like theirs. But we were all stumped because there really isn’t a focal point, or an obvious place to put a decorative ‘mosaic’ piece (ie over the sink, etc) on her backsplash. These kind of dilemmas get the wheels turning in Nick’s head every time…

And he dreamed up this awesome decorative mosaic backsplash!  HELLO!  …it’s awesome.

We think Gloria definitely got her ‘unique, special and different!!’ I just can’t stop looking at these pictures. Her kitchen is so awesome! Don’t you LOVE her dark cabinets??

Thanks Gloria! We’re glad you pushed us to try something new!!

Just beautiful!! I seriously want to know how you do that… you should put out a tutorial on how to, & sell it. Possibly copyright a pattern & make some serious money.
