Can’t think of a title…

February 15, 2012 by Bethany Sy

Last week, one of the things on my ambitious list of things to accomplish was going through the girls clothing, organizing, and putting away. I had put away their preemie/newborn clothes way back last fall, but sizes 0-3 months and 3-6 months have just been… accumulating. And having recently gotten out their 6-9 month clothing, I needed room asap.

When we finished the girls’ nursery, several people said to me ‘it looks nice now, but give it a couple weeks and it’ll be a disaster!’ BUT! I knew that if there was a place for everything, I could keep up their room just fine. And I HAVE!

But this weekend was an exception… I’m a little OCD about organization, so the whole process took longer than it may have for most. I wanted the sizes separated, and all ‘like’ items together (onesies, footy PJ’s, two piece outfits, jackets, dresses, etc).

I feared I would need to go buy a bunch more tubs for storage. But miraculously, it all fit into this:

I’m good, I know.

Nick and I have been ‘taking turns’ making design decisions for our furniture projects, and I’m so excited to show you my vanity we finished up this weekend! I still need to take pictures, so you’ll just have to wait for now. We also got started on a new project in the works… this little ancient sewing table is going to be reincarnated. My lover has wild plans for it’s future.

The girls have been sweet little angels lately, allowing us to be insanely productive this weekend. Our girl Dell even passed out in her little bouncer. Have you ever seen anything cuter than this?

And while I’m on the topic of our adorable miracle princess, do you recall when they used to be this size?

Me neither.

I know what you’re thinking… ‘please tell me you don’t still have them sleeping together in that cradle’. Well relax, for nap times during the day, one girl sleeps in the cradle and one in the Pack and Play right next to it. At night though, we still have them sleeping together in their crib! We’ll see how long that lasts. We’re without a plan B… no room for a second crib!

You did such a beautiful job on your nursery! I am working on mine now. =) Would you mind telling me where you got those white hanging balls in the middle of all the other poofs that look sort of lacey? I am borrowing some from a friend and she doesn’t remember where she got hers…

Katie, unfortunately I don’t remember where I got mine EITHER! But I just Googled ‘Eyelet Paper Lantern’ and saw that Martha Stewart carries some very similar… maybe even the same ones? Plan B, if neccessary, put them in BIG girl beds early…with added safety side rails :)) We did it at 18 months…also put a safety gate in bedroom doorway just in case.

Isn’t it amazing how much they grow! I still look back at the day we brought each of ours home from the hospital and how tiny they were in their carseats!
