Linda’s Backsplash

March 14, 2011 by Bethany Sy

Happy Daylight Savings!! Based on my Facebook newsfeed, there are a LOT of people who are not happy about it... losing an hour of sleep and all. But I personally look forward to Springing Forward! For me the most depressing thing about Winter is how it's dark in the evenings, making me very unproductive and sleepy. And lazy. And now it's light till 8! Hooray! On a side note, I'm not sure if  ... [ Read More ]

Discussion Topic: Must Have’s

March 11, 2011 by Bethany Sy

Or last "discussion topic" was wildly successful and provided us with tons of advice, suggestions, and resources for all things diapers. I have to admit, we haven't come to a firm decision on the matter... but we've been doing lots of research on some of the suggested websites/blogs. Knowing our ladies will likely be on the smaller side when they arrive, we'll be using disposables for the first ... [ Read More ]

18 Weeks / Nursery Inspiration!

March 8, 2011 by Bethany Sy

It's been brought to my attention that I haven't posted a belly pic in awhile. It's weird how I just LOVE how cute my baby bump is... but at the same time, I feel like such a slob. It's a weird sensation... and I'm diggin' it. I dig everything about pregnancy. Even the gas bubbles, acid reflux and midnight leg cramps!Been thinkin' a lot about the nursery lately, and how perfect I want it to be. ... [ Read More ]

Toni’s Backsplash

March 7, 2011 by Bethany Sy

In the midst of a busy busy weekend, we managed to squeeze in, you guessed it, a backsplash! It's becoming a weekend staple for us! And can I just say that we're both thrilled and floored by all the business we've been getting thanks to happy customers giving us referrals! We sure didn't expect our little side business to move into such high demand! It's literally a dream come true for us to be ... [ Read More ]

Furry Friends

March 4, 2011 by Bethany Sy

Since being outcasted from our home, Blanche and Lucille have lived humbly in the garage for the majority of the winter. Every so often they like to venture out and explore... especially when it's nice out. But for the most part, they like it in there! My conscience can now rest.Remember when they looked like this? Our girls are growing up! Little do they know they're about to have two sisters of ... [ Read More ]

ummm… Judith?

March 2, 2011 by Bethany Sy

You may or may not remember Eloise the vanity. Let me refresh your memory. After posting Eloise for sale on craigslist last fall, we received this letter:  painting is NOT refinishing,, you ruined an antique ( I use the word antique loosely ..it dates from the 1930's so its not that ancient.)  I own a refinishing shop.. refinishing is stripping the old finish off and re-staining and ... Kori’s Backsplash

February 28, 2011 by Bethany Sy

Backsplash Backsplash Backsplash! It may be Monday, but who can be dragging on a day like today?! Ok, I'm annoyed with my own energy. Let's get to the point. We painted a backsplash.  It looks awesome. Feast your eyes.As you can see, Kori had this existing ACTUAL tile backsplash just over the range. And our challenge was to paint the rest of the backsplash to coordinate and compliment this ... [ Read More ]

Discussion Topic: Diaper Dilemma

February 25, 2011 by Bethany Sy

After realizing that I went the whole day wearing my underwear inside-out (despite the 64 trips to the bathroom), I had a sequence of thoughts that led me to consider in great detail our potential diaper dilemma. (how ironic that "dilemma" is a word I can never remember how to spell?)So here's the issue, we live in the boonies... FAR from civilization. We love living in the country, but there ... 16 Weeks

February 24, 2011 by Bethany Sy

Time for a baby update! No baby bump picture this time around... I haven't put makeup on in days. Does that mean I'm already letting myself go?We had our 16 week ultrasound, at which our educated guess was confirmed... BOTH GIRLS! Of the 133 votes on our Baby Gender Pole, the vast majority voted for one of each sex... but second place (at 31%) was both girls. We already love those little ladies so ... [ Read More ]

Attic Closet Rescue

February 22, 2011 by Bethany Sy

One thing I certainly can't complain about is the amount of storage we have in our home. Granted, there is no pantry, linen closets or coat closets (which I still DO complain about), but our attic is fully refinished, giving us tons of room to store boxes, camping equipment, out of season clothing, Christmas boxes, and an extensive/bizarre Anastasia collection. And though I should be ashamed, ... [ Read More ]
