Anticipation:

February 27, 2010 by Bethany Sy

On a lighter note, I’m SO excited for spring! I don’t feel like much of a “country girl” when I confine myself to my home, shivering and looking out at the vast expanse of snow. And usually winter is my favorite season… I love snow (in moderation), it’s so pretty and fun to play in. And I used to love to drive in snow, it gave me a certain rush …until this happened. And there’s always snowboarding!!! But this winter? …needs to end ASAP

Spring things I’m most excited about:

  • the smell of freshly cut grass
  • planting my vegetable garden
  • my sexy husband …all tan and muscular
  • waking up early to sit on the porch in my PJ’s with a good book
  • having the windows open
  • dandelions!
  • playing with Reuben
  • having people over to grill out and sit around a fire at night
  • watching the crop dusters
  • etc
I think Spring will do wonders on my current “state of mind” …if you know what I mean. I also really want a baby kitten. It just may help out with my immediate need to parent.
I kinda feel like I’m stumbling around with my words today. It’s like I got sad, and completely forgot how to write. My vocabulary has diminished, and i know I’m not being grammatically correct. Please forgive me for writing like a 5th grader. Maybe it’s because my mom made me skip the 5th grade. I think I’m still bitter. Just kidding Mom.
I should really end this now.
Please enjoy the following seasonal pictures of the homestead.
