On to more important matters: The girls are getting soooo… BIG!
I can’t even begin to wrap my mind around the fact that I will be a mother to TWO two-year-olds in just one month. It seems impossible. I’ve even recently resorted to getting them 3T clothes, because they’re so incredibly tall. They can reach things on the counter that I thought for sure I set back far enough. They’re starting to really interact and play together and become friends. Each day after their naps, their eyes light up when they see each other and they run to give hugs. Cutest.thing.ever.
Dear Paisley,
You are very very BUSY. Constantly moving and climbing things. You have a super strong sense of stranger danger. As in, if someone you don’t recognize comes within your ‘bubble’, you sound the alarm by SCREAMING bloody-murder. You love your blanket, and it comforts you in many situations. You only suck your thumb when you have your blanket looped around your index finger. When your daddy or I get up from our seat, you drop everything and run to steal our seat. And then you sit there proudly, waiting for us to realize it. When you burp or sneeze, you always say ‘excuse me’. You want to be outside ALL DAY. And ask to go for a walk constantly. Only you can’t pronounce the ‘w’ consonant… so you say what sounds precisely like a 4-letter f-word. You would eat every second of the day if we let you. You are a little parrot and repeat everything we say. You’re a very intense child, with tons of energy and sheer joy. We love you so much!
Dear Adelyn
You give the.best.hugs. You’re so soft, loving, and snuggly. The complete opposite of your personality when you were a baby. You’re very sensitive and nurturing. You also love your blanket, but you have a stuffed monkey that you have special feelings for too. You call him ‘Mucky’. The 3 Keys to your happiness are Blankie, Monkey, and Binkie. Unlike your sister, you will run up to anyone and hold your hands up to be held. When we have playdates, rest assured… you’re sitting in the OTHER mommy’s lap. You’re finally getting hair, but mostly on the back of your head in the form of an adorable mullet. You always want pretty things in your hair, but then immediately pull them out. And then you want them back in. And then you pull them out again… a vicious cycle! You love to dance and make music. We recently put an electric keyboard in the living room, and you love to play it! You call Paisley ‘sissy’ and love to give her hugs. You’re such a sweet and thoughtful girl. We love you so much!
Aw.. maybe I should start writing letters to my two year old too.
These are always my favorite posts. It makes me so excited to be a mom. I look up to you so much. I cannot believe how big they are getting. Those curls in Paisley’s hair KILL ME!
So cute! Love watching them grow. It won’t be too long before you’ll need two chairs LOL.

I can’t believe 2 years almost! So sweet, I have really enjoyed you sharing the girls on this blog. Mary in NY
My girls just grew out of their 3T stuff and are now on to 4’s and 5’s due to their height also. Tall Daddy’s=tall girls 😉 I can send you some stuff after our garage sale wraps up today! Thinking about you constantly and love reading your blog to stay abreast (sorry) on your lives 😉
Love, Cryst
I love reading your notes to the girls…that will be so special for them someday. I wish I had done something like that with my kiddos…I really need to start! My baby girl was a bald too…and probably started growing more hair around 2, and now has plenty of it at 3. They are precious and I know you are so blessed (as an IVF mommy too…and an adoptive mommy).
They are just adorable!!! Love that you call them “the sisters” rather than “the twins”. Lovely family. Oh and you’re incredibly talented (both of you) 🙂
Cheers from Minn-e-SODA
